Dawn Shickluna
​PhD, MA, MEd, RP, CCC
Clinical Director & Supervisor

Dawn i​s a warm and compassionate practitioner who values genuine connection with others. She has over 20 years of experience in community mental health and social development, having focused her training & practice expertise in the areas of trauma, stress & anxiety, gender & sexual diversity, interpersonal relationships, and spirituality. Dawn works from a psychodynamic, trauma-informed, anti-oppression framework and is trained in many therapeutic modalities such as Narrative therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR and other somatic interventions, Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (CBT/DBT), Mindfulness, and Solution Focused Positive Psychology.

She works with Adults, Adolescents, parents & teens, couples, and others wanting to do relationship work including queer, poly, sex-positive counselling. 

​Dawn has Masters level degrees in Counselling Psychology and in Women's & Gender Studies. She also holds a PhD from the University of Toronto. Her research focuses on violence & trauma and subsequent resistance and survival. 

​Dawn is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, and a Certified Canadian Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. She is also a Certified EMDR therapist, and Clinical Supervisor.

​Miriam Miller BA, MSc, RP
Registered Psychotherapist​​

Miriam's experience in working with diverse groups has contributed to her compassionate and
non-judgmental approach to therapy. Following the completion of a BA in Sociology, Miriam attended the Addiction: Treatment and Prevention program at Georgian College and then earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counselling at Niagara University (Lewiston, NY).

Miriam is a registered psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a member in
good standing of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals.

​Miriam prioritizes a therapeutic relationship based on equality and respect as well as providing a warm and empowering therapy experience. Her approach to therapy is integrative and at its core, person and strength focused. Miriam uses a variety of evidence based treatments including but not limited Person-Centered therapy, Narrative therapy, mindfulness and compassion focused treatments, and Motivational Interviewing.

Miriam specializes in the areas of addiction, anxiety, depression, self-destructive behaviours, shame, emotional overwhelm, stress management, and self-acceptance and compassion.
